Scholarship Application

Foster Youth Education Fund (FYEF) provides financial and supportive resources to former foster youth seeking post-secondary education or certifications. To be eligible to receive a FYEF financial award the former foster youth must have been either emancipated OR attending a 2-year or 4-year college or technical trade school in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer or Yolo Counties. Note, applicants may be asked to provide emancipation documentation.

NEW applicants must submit with this application:

  • High School or most recent College Transcript
  • One Letter of Recommendation from a Non-Relative
  • One Page Essay—Describe your education goals and how you plan to use the FYEF funds. Include a paragraph about any challenges that have impacted your goals.
  • Proof Of Enrollment for the Fall Quarter or Semester.

RETURNING applicants must submit with this application:

  • Most recent college transcript
  • Proof of Enrollment for the Fall Quarter or Semester
